This Spring event gives our members and guests a chance to compete at the sport of Trap Shooting to see who will take home a ham.  This event is open to all shooters who can handle a shotgun on the line.

Sign-in starts at 9:00 AM and closes promptly at 10:00 AM, when shooting starts – No late entries! The competition usually wraps up by 11 or shortly after.

So, dust off your trusty shotgun, and bring $5 for the entry fee (and money for ammo if you need it.  If you are short on shells, we will have a small supply to sell.) and step up to the line to bust up those clay pigeons!  It’s a fun event for not only the contestants, but also the spectators.  And nearly every family gets to take home a ham! 

The Ham Shoot brings out a lot of friendly competition among members and is great fun to watch – especially the smack talk! And we frequently have some of our former Kids Camp participants join us as well to show their stuff! If you are new at shotgun this is a fun time to get a taste of fun competition. And we always have instructors on hand if you would like some coaching when you shoot – just ask, we enjoy coaching! Bring your shotgun and shells.  Or you can con one of your fellow shooters for a favor! And be sure your shotgun is ready to go as jammed firearms will stop the play.
