Vashon Sportsmen's Club

We had a really big turnout for the meeting this evening at the Vashon Sportsmen’s Club for the annual election of officers and trustees.

President Mike ‘You Are Our Of Order’ Mattingly did a great job of keeping the meeting moving along and the business conducted and the elections running.  He seemed rather happy to turn the gavel over to our newly elected President Dan Rice.  Dan indicated one of his first moves would be to appoint new czars to run the various committees.   We even had two Pauls running for one of the Vice President positions and they got an equal number of votes.  Not once but twice.  The recount and revote must have been done Chicago style.  It finally came to a quick draw or maybe it was a coin flip.  We also have our first female Vice President.

A quick rundown of the newly elected is as follows:  President Dan Rice;  1st Vice President  Brad Shride;  2^nd Vice Pres Amy Griswold;  3^rd Vice Pres Paul Engels;  Secretary is Chuck Pardee,  Assistant Secretary and Rental Manager is Stephen Holtz;  Treasurer is Orin Chalker because we will not let him get away;  Assistant Treasurer is Bill Lyell.

We have reelected two Trustees Todd Gateman and Orin Chalker.  It was a very spirited election for Trustees as there were a total of six nominees for only two positions.  The other nominees were Joe Matter, Duane Didricksen, Jason Acosta and Brad Shride.
