| Vashon Sportsmen's Club Annual
Trout Derby For Kids
What better way to spend a spring day than
fishing for a nice trout?
Grab a pole (we have some to lend too) and come on
down to the Vashon Sportsmen's Club annual trout derby. All kids 12
and under are invited to fish in the pond and compete for lots of
exciting prizes and fishing gear.
Come join the fun of reeling in a jumping and
splashing trout while enjoying hot dogs, pop, and chili! Not to
mention some good ol' country & bluegrass tunes courtesy of John Van
Amerongen!
The pond is open year-round for members and their guests (limit 3
fish per member per day) and we stock it several times a year. Members
are welcome to relax at the pond, bar-b-que, feed the fish, or just
watch the osprey try to steal a fish or 3.

| Established in 1933, the Vashon Sportsmen's
Club has served as a place for Islanders to enjoy the fun and
excitement of outdoor sports. We meet the 1st and 3rd
Friday of every month at 8 P.M.
If you enjoy archery, camping, fishing, hunting, shooting, or any
other outdoor sport, please come and join us at the V.S.C.
We are located on Singer road just south of the entrance to the
Vashon Cemetery.
